Scott Pilgrim Takes Off is an anime developed by Bryan Lee O'Malley and BenDavid Grabinski for Netflix. The series is based on the Scott Pilgrim graphic novels written and drawn by O'Malley, with the entire main cast from the 2010 film adaptation, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, reprising their roles, while also serving as both a sequel and remake of the graphic novel and film. The series was released on November 17, 2023, to critical acclaim. When fighting, she typically uses an over sized mallet as her weapon, which she can retrieve from her purse through the use of subspace. She changes her hairstyle frequently and becomes anxious when Gideon is mentioned or brought up. Due to her power over Subspace travel thanks to the Glow, her head begins to glow when she is upset or jealous, though she herself is unaware of this until Kim Pine brings attention to it in Volume 5. Ramona now owns Scott's old sword, the " Power of Love". Ramona's hammer is a weapon that she takes out of her Subspace Suitcase in Volume 3. She uses it in her fight against Envy Adams, who later on steals it and tries to kill Lynette Guycott with it. The hammer briefly seen in Volume 6 when the Subspace Suitcase explodes.

The original ending had Scott end up with Knives, with Ramona complimenting Knives's obsession over him while talking to Scott in the dream desert. In the end, Ramona leaves through a subspace door, and Knives and Scott continue their traditional routine of playing Ninja Ninja Revolution. This alternate ending is available as a deleted scene on the DVD. When Stephen Stills (or Wallace) calls her, she appears and throws comically large daggers at the enemies.

Knives’ journey feels representative of the promise, and ultimately the delivery, of Scott Pilgrim Takes Off: Being younger than most of her friends, Knives is more malleable to the influences of those around her. With a feature-film runtime, she gets short-shrifted, and exists as more of a punchline whose world revolves around loving Scott and hating Ramona. Here, even with plenty of other characters sharing the stage, she feels more whole. Her interests are still shaped by the time she spent with Scott, but she gets the chance to explore those interests on her own and find her own brand of self-expression. That’s the beauty of Scott Pilgrim Takes Off: It’s a show where things are different, but the heart of the original story and the characters that live in it are still true.
