Description

With a 3 second heat-up time and precise espresso extraction, you go from bean to cup, faster than ever before. Learning how to do that takes time though, it requires the right technique but that's true of any milk frother. I thought it's the perfect coffee machine for a starter who wants to learn how to make an espresso and especially milk-based coffees. It doesn't have the LCD display that the pro has, so it doesn't have the shot timer, easy access to cleaning cycles, and so on, and you can't change the brew temp.

I've not actually measured this, and there's probably not a massive amount in it – but the express engages the pump after steaming milk, to flush the thermocoil to drop the temperature down to shot temp, the whole process probably takes 30 seconds or so. This is a fantastic course for those who are experienced behind the coffee machine but want to improve not only their skills, but also their knowledge and understanding of what makes a truly great barista. The ability to really simply re-program the volumetric shot buttons via the LCD screen is great, as is the low pressure preinfusion and the fact that you can easily pull shots manually if you prefer. The Sage Barista Pro is an 'all in one' espresso machine with a built-in grinder and a compact footprint. With a ThermoJet heating system, 3 second heat up time and precise espresso extraction, you go from bean to cup faster than ever before. To be honest I wouldn’t worry too much about the Gaggia warranty anyway, the chances of having a warranty issue is fairly slim, if you do have issues it’ll probably be further down the line and it probably won’t be a warranty issue, it’ll be more likely just servicing required and modding your machine won’t make any difference where getting it serviced and maintained is concerned. Built on foundations of openness, inclusivity, and the power of shared knowledge, they act as a unifying force within the specialty coffee industry – invested in creating a worldwide circle of like-minded professionals.

All Barista Pro Espresso Machines from Rombouts come with 1 x 500g of Rombouts Coffee Beans Free of Charge. The Barista Pro, Barista Touch, and the Bambino Plus (and that one is a stand alone espresso machine, not an integrated grinder machine) all feature the new “thermojet” water heater, while the original machines (Barista Express and Duo Temp Pro) feature the original thermocoil. One thing which has surprised me in the first month of home barista-ing, even though you emphasise it, is the importance of a big drip tray. This is supported by the machine's Thermocoil heating system with PID temperature control, which provides water at exactly 93ºC for perfectly balanced flavours. not initially diagnose the problem unless I use the sage portafilter, and that the repair would be non warranty because of it!The Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) is a nonprofit, membership-based organisation that represents thousands of coffee professionals, from producers to baristas all over the world. Yes, I expect that it will take some time to learn how to use the machine and do a proper shot of coffee. If you have no interest in assistance, and you just want an integrated grinder machine because you'd prefer to have everything in one unit, then I'd say you'd probably be better off with the Barista Pro.

When I first tried to enter the backflush cycle, for instance, I accidentally simply re-programmed the single shot button to the max. You're bound to like them because it was setup initially as a little project with the involvement of my fellow coffee botherers (coffeeblog readers, of which you're now one since you're here reading this) to develop a small range of coffee beans that we'd all love. Please note, when a package is shipped internationally, it may be subject to import taxes, customs duties and/or fees imposed by the destination country. The Barista Pro has an LCD screen which makes it easier to change shot time, enter cleaning cycles, and so on – and the Barista Pro has a much bigger drip tray, while the Bambino Plus has a tiny drip tray that does need emptying regularly. Comes with a complementary Connoisseur Taster Pack, to help you make the most of your new Sage Barista Pro.
