I bought the 8x32HD platinum for my daughter’s birthday as a replacement for a pair of Zeiss 8×30 I bought her over 30 years ago. She wanted something lighter and with clearer vision. My wife and I wanted to encourage her to take up birdwatching again as a pastime and for exercise. We met up for a walk and surprised her with the present. She was thrilled to bits and was soon spotting the birds in the estuary. She found the binoculars really light and was amazed by the clarity and brightness of the images compared with her old ones. It had proved an ideal gift. She liked the very distinctive colour too. For a full spec. product I think they provide exceptional value. Well what can I say? I bought two pairs, one for me and one for my sister. They are absolutely fabulous and worth every single penny. Have already had hours of fun watching marine wildlife with them. Been putting off buying some binoculars as the choice (size/price/quality) was too debatable. Came across Avalon and decided to go for it. Great price. Next day delivery. Was thinking about getting the 10×40 but decided to go for lighter and more compact. Excellent choice. I’m really pleased with them. They come with a case, strap and lens cleaner, all good quality. Perfect for bird watching and taking away on holiday/days out. Would highly recommend. I bought these with my birthday money and I am thrilled with them. I wanted a lightweight pair of binoculars to take with me on my walks. I took them out for the first time today and had a real treat watching a fallow deer and a tree creeper with them, they are so light and comfortable to carry and the view is incredibly clear and sharp . They were easy to set up. I know I am going to get many hours of pleasure from them . I bought the mini for a gift. Very impressed, opened them and tested them on a constellation I have been wanting to see closer for so long. Got my answer to the number of stars! Now purchasing the same pair for myself, not for star gazing but for birding with my friend. Service was excellent in delivery and I know, if I should need it, the warranty will also be excellent. I currently have an old pair of Bushnell 10×42 binoculars, which are a bit heavy and I’m thinking I’d like something not so heavy and a little smaller. Also something to consider is that I wear eye glasses.

Delighted with these binoculars! I’m new to birdwatching so wanted something straightforward to use and these fit the bill perfectly. Nice and light, veryeasy to focus and a nice bright image.When you are using a slightly higher magnification, such as with 10x binoculars, you will be able to take in more details. This is very practical when you want to look at different types of wildlife. Slower moving birds will usually be in an open environment, which will not be hard to see even when your binoculars have a narrower field of view. We are fascinated by nature. We love the excitement of observing a spectacular moment, crystal clear and in perfect detail. For most people and their particular outings, the 8×42 or 10×42 binoculars are the best ones for bird watching as well as for general use. The Field of View / Angle of View This is our first pair of binoculars and we bought them with birdwatching mainly in mind. We were unsure whether to buy a full size pair or a mini version, and we are pleased that we opted for these as they are a decent size, and yet are easily portable, and are nicely made with good, clear vision. This is the first time I’ve bought a really good pair of binoculars and I wasn’t disappointed – they’re great.
